Hope Foundation is a well-known Non Government Organization(NGO) located at Palakkad district in Kerala. It is a Charitable Trust registered under the Indian Trust Act 1888 as well as under section 12 A of the Income Tax Act,1961. Hope started functioning in 2005 and is engaged in Public charitable activities like micro finance, women empowerment, livelihood activities, health program mes, education and other social projects for the poor.
Hope Foundation has been successfully carrying out micro finance operations since 2005. Apart from micro finance activities, Hope has built a strong brand and credibility over a period of time on account of its overall activities including the charitable projects executed by the Trust.
Within a short period of time, Hope Foundation's micro finance operations has achieved phenomenal success. By November 2009, the Trust had grown into a mid-sized Micro Finance Institution (MFI) with 32 branches spread across six states - Kerala and Tamil Nadu, Orissa, West Bengal, Meghalaya and Jharkhand - with a loan portfolio of Rs. 18 crores and employee strength of 250.
While continuing its active involvement in various social and developmental initiatives, the Trust through its microfinance programs has extended small loans to poor families for embarking and expanding income generating livelihood activities that provides the required financial capital to take care of the family needs on a sustainable basis. The aim of Hope Foundation's micro finance initiative is to promote mass livelihood activities on sustainable basis.
The Trust intends to expand its micro finance services along with development and social enterprise services. Hope Foundation will work with an integrated and result-oriented approach focusing on financial services, technical guidance, marketing assistance and motivation.
Mission & Vision
For the betterment of lives, by sustainable rural development on non farm employment in addition to agriculture, by improving entrepreneurial skills of the farmers, particularly youth and women living under the poverty line, through micro enterprises and supporting services.
